Draganfly cooperates with Ukraine to develop smart demining drones
Draganfly UAS AIR Space in Spring Branch, Texas, is partnering with Ukraine to develop a smart demining drone for clearing Russian mines.
Since this summer, Draganfly has been working with Coldchain Delivery Systems in Ukraine on the design, validation and optimization of standard operating procedures, sensor selection and data collection technology for drones for various objectives, including mapping, surveying and infrastructure inspections . It will also seek to further develop artificial intelligence models to improve the efficiency with which tasks are performed. However, the primary focus initially will be on continuing to develop anomaly detection protocols to identify and eventually clear landmines and unexploded ordnance.
These priorities are clearly both timely and urgent given the intense violence in Ukraine, but Draganfly CEO Cameron Cher noted that the new test facility will not overlook the many other ways drones can be developed to improve commerce and public services Operator performance.
