VTOL fixed-wing drone for surveillance solution

With the continuous popularity of UAV applications, UAVs have been widely used in surveillance and security fields. However, during the multi-rotor flight period, fixed-wing UAVs require a large area for take-off and landing, which limits the application of UAVs in the security field.

FDG-25 VTOL UAV system is the latest long-endurance UAV platform released by FlyDragon. With the FDG-25 vertical take-off and landing UAV platform as the carrier, combined with the FD-640 dual-light camera and the FlyDragon’s 80-kilometer telemetry system, it can transmit images 80 kilometers away back to the ground command center to provide commanders with a basis for decision-making. The UAV surveillance system has good stability. It consists of three parts: the sky terminal, the ground terminal and the tracking antenna.

Air end

It consists of a vertical take-off and landing drone equipped with dual-lens cameras

1.FD-640 Camera

FD-640 has visible light, infrared thermal imaging camera, multi-band optical data acquisition capabilities, and can conduct all-weather reconnaissance and data acquisition of the monitored area. At the same time, the FD-640 camera has an infrared thermal imaging system and target tracking function, with a 30X zoom, and can clearly see objects at the ground centimeter level at an altitude of 400 meters.

2.FDG-25 vertical take-off and landing drone

FDG-25, can carry 1.5 kilograms, fly for 170 minutes, there is no sound at an altitude of 200 meters, and can track and monitor without being detected by the target.

3.FD-T80 80km telemetry data link

FD-T80 data link products use unique link enhancement technology, which has strong anti-interference performance, stable signal, rich interface types, and excellent electromagnetic compatibility, which can improve the stability and reliability of information transmission of unmanned systems at long distances and maneuvering attitudes.. The product can provide 6Mbps data bandwidth, the longest communication distance is 85 kilometers, supports 1080P HD video transmission, and the image delay is within 280ms. The data link product also provides remote control coach interface, RS232 interface, etc.

Ground end

The ground terminal consists of a ground station and a tracking antenna

1. Ground Contol station

FDC-10 ground control station (GCS )hardware refers to the complete set of ground-based hardware systems used to control the UAV. this system looks like a modified transmitter combined with what is usually a touch screen. An internal computer running the GCS software sits behind the screen, along with the video and data links. Larger GCS units are also available that typically fit inside flight cases.

2. Tracking antenna

This is an 80km unidirectional tracking antenna, LAN port connects to the computer, receives H.264 high-definition image code stream and performs software decoding. The decoding software has functions such as local storage and network forwarding. The COM1 port is used to connect the flight control ground station to complete the telemetry remote control data transmission; the COM2 port can be used to control the gimbal and pan/tilt; the PPM1 remote control interface is connected to the first remote control through the trainer line to control the flight; the PPM2 remote control interface is passed The trainer line is connected to a second remote control for controlling pods or other loads. If the PTZ on the airborne end is controlled by a digital transmission interface, the ground needs to connect the PTZ control box to the corresponding digital transmission interface.
